Everyone has thought about this at least once! Everyone wants to know the answer to the question “should we use moisturizers on oily skin?” and the answer to this is a BIG YES. There are many reasons why you should use a moisturizer even for the oily skins out there. Let’s know the reasons!
We live in an environment where no one is away from pollution. It's everywhere and all skin types are it oily or dry skin they all do get affected by it.
Yes, it might sound odd at first that “Pollution related to moisturization.” but the truth is that pollution affects the natural moisture barrier of the skin and causes loss of moisture, so your skin will tend to produce oil which will clog your pores.
So yes we can say that to save your skin from the damage of pollution, people with oily skin should apply moisturizers.
We all stay out in the sun. We should know that it harms our skin. The rays damage the moisture layer on our skin pushing it to deplete hence more oil is produced leading to a shinier skin which we think is moisture but it's not, it's just pure excessive oil.
So, it is suggested to put a good sunscreen over the skin which does have some form of moisturization factors too that will protect your skin from harmful rays of the sun creating a layer of moisture over it.
Tip - A good sunscreen has zinc oxide/titanium dioxide (for sensitive skin) or one or more of the following ingredients:

People feel that if they have oily skin they should wash their faces more often which is wrong, as it will again deplete the natural moisture of the skin making it more dry and damp.
If you want your face to have less oil to be produced then a good moisturizer would be a great choice which will maintain the moist layer over the skin and not let it feel over shiny due to the production of oil.

- A light-weight moisturizer - Feels like you didn't even apply one!
- Has hyaluronic acid and aloe vera that doesn't block pores.
- Provides long-lasting hydration so that you don't have to re-apply.
- Doesn't look greasy [still] after fifteen minutes.
- If you have to apply sunscreen & makeup (which you will), your face doesn't look cake-like.
It's important for us to maintain healthy skin, as oily skin is always seen as the one which will have a lot of pimples and problems associated with them but you will be shocked to know that oily skin is a healthy type.
